A chair is the piece of furniture you notice last and use most. This collection covers the four roles chairs actually play in a home: the dining chair that has to survive every meal, the lounge armchair that has to be worth sinking into, the accent chair that has to justify its corner, and the bench that quietly seats two. There are four pieces — a Wishbone dining chair in the classic Y-back form, a deep round lounge armchair in two upholstery options, a black peacock accent chair and a slatted oak bench. Every listing states its materials, dimensions, weight limits and care honestly, including the trade-offs: woven seats prefer dry rooms, and solid wood moves with the seasons.
How to choose
Start with the job, not the look. For daily dining, prioritise seat height and a wipe-clean, repairable seat — the Wishbone’s woven paper cord and the bench’s slats both handle spills better than upholstery. For a reading or TV corner, depth matters more than width: the round lounge armchair is the piece to sink into, and its two fabric options exist because the same chair reads warm or sharp depending on the cover. The peacock chair is the statement piece — give it a corner and let it be the loud one. And measure doorways before anything else: the bench is the only piece here that assembles flat, and the armchair is the widest. On materials: solid wood frames can be oiled and repaired; woven and rattan surfaces prefer dry, ventilated rooms and simply do not belong in a bathroom or a monsoon-facing balcony.
FAQs
Are these chairs assembled?
The dining chair, armchair and accent chair arrive assembled; the bench assembles in about ten minutes with the included key.
What weight do they hold?
Each product page lists a tested static load — between 110 kg and 150 kg depending on the piece. These are prototype specifications, stated plainly.
Are the fabrics removable?
The lounge armchair’s covers are removable for spot-cleaning; the dining chair’s paper-cord seat is not, but wipes clean and can be re-woven by a restorer.
Do the woods match each other?
Only if you want them to. The dining chair and bench share a natural oak tone; the accent chair is deliberately black. Mixed woods are a style decision, not a mistake.
