Description
The articulated desk lamp was invented to solve a problem that has not changed since: a fixed lamp lights the room, an aimed lamp lights the work. The sprung parallelogram arm holds whatever position you set — head down for writing, head up for reading, head turned for a keyboard — without drooping overnight or needing to be tightened every week. This version is finished in warm brass with a black base, and the switch sits on the head where your hand already is, which sounds like a small detail until you have owned a lamp that made you reach behind a shelf to switch it off. The head takes a standard E27 bulb and throws a tight pool of light about 40 cm across — deliberately narrow, because the point is the page. On a desk it earns its footprint immediately; on a nightstand it works as a reading lamp; and unlike most desk lamps it is heavy enough at the base to stay where it is put.
Use cases
- Desks for writing, studying or drawing where aim matters.
- Nightstands used for reading rather than decoration.
- Sewing tables, hobby benches and keyboard corners.
- Anywhere the overhead light is behind your shoulder instead of on the page.

FAQs
Does the arm droop over time?
No — the springs hold position; if a joint ever loosens it can be tightened with a standard screwdriver.
Is the brass solid or plated?
Brass-finished steel: the look of brass with the rigidity a sprung arm needs.
What bulb gives the best desk light?
A 2700–3000K LED up to 40 W equivalent; the narrow head concentrates it well.
